The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
